The Building

Rokin 69

Through several period style renovations in the past, the building has maintained its impressive original features. From the beautiful terrazzo floors, to the many large windows and the natural stone block staircase which leads from the ground floor up to the second floor of the building.
The most recent renovation focused on the conservation and restoration of all the original and architectural elements, whilst creating transparency throughout the building.
Combining new materials like glass and metal in a modern palette with the warm colours of the authentic terrazzo and wooden floors, and adding high quality installation technologies, achieved the warm atmosphere, the minimalistic yet timeless look with the comfort of today and the charm Rokin 69’s history.

Local public transport connections are excellent, with the Rokin tram stop (served by routes 4, 12, 14, and 24) located directly in front of the building.
The North-South Line is the new metro line (route 52) linking Amsterdam Noord to Amsterdam Zuid. With a metro station just outside, Rokin 69 can now be reached in less than 10 minutes from Amsterdam Zuid station, for example

The local authority is currently building an underground car park at Rokin itself which is planned to be completed in the autumn of 2020.

“Arts and crafts belong to the constructed space. They stimulate all the senses and make of each architecture a unique experience.”
